Emba Village Go Back in time...
Emba is a picturesque village in the
district of Paphos at 135m above sea
level surrounded by plantations of fruit
trees such as lemons, oranges,
nectarines and peaches and within close
proximity to blue flag beaches,
excellent golf courses, traditional
tavernas and supermarkets. Works are
scheduled to commence soon on a new
400-berth marina, which will be complete
with shops and restaurants. It also
boasts its own small theatre and a
beautiful 12th Century domed church with
impressive frescoes and fret worked gold
plated iconostasis. It has a few shops
and tavernas dotted along the narrow
winding road where in the evening the
local men can be seen sitting outside
their coffee shops after spilling out
onto the narrow roads on their wooden
chairs.
The surrounding villages of Lempa,
Chlorakas and Kissonerga all have local
restaurants. Serving traditional Cyprus
dishes as well as English ones.
Coral Bay is a few minutes drive away
and its high street with a selection of
bars and restaurants. It has a character
of its own and is full of life. A few
minutes drive further on, leads you to
the blue flag sandy beach and water
sports. |
