This
area of Paphos is truly stunning. It
offers beautiful scenery, culture, peace
and is a short drive from Coral Bay that
is full of restaurants, shops and bars.
The Pegeia Sea Caves, also known as
Kantarkasti caves, is about a fifteen
minute drive from Coral Bay and really
is not to be missed when visiting Paphos.
Also you can visit St George in the
opposite direction or the Akamas
Peninsula which is about a twenty to
thirty minute drive.
At St George you will find the Agios
Georgios Church. It is thought that this
is where the ships from Constantinople
would stop to reload on their way to the
Byzantine capital back in 527AD (approx)
If you are after some culture whilst
staying in the area then visit the
church. It is open throughout the season
and there is a small entrance fee.
This area is not too built up and offers
a quiet and relaxing break. You will
need a car to get into Kato Paphos or
Coral Bay as it is not walking distance.
So if you are looking for a quiet break
and want to take in some nice views and
are coming for the culture then this is
the place for you.
We have a selection of properties here
which is growing all the time. We have
some luxury villas with private pools
that have everything you would need for
the perfect getaway!
